Subject: Got about 20 years scared off of my life last night..

I had a weird dream that was sort of reality in a way. Sounds confusing, right?

Well, first of all I stayed up to watch the ball drop knowing I had to get up at 5:30. And before watching the ball drop I watched Cold Case and Without A Trace. Usually they don't bother me.

Last night around 2:15 I dreamed that I was in my bed asleep and someone was breaking through my front door. And then they were walking around my living room, which is right outside my bedroom. So in my dream I'm telling myself to wake up because someone is breaking in and they're going to kill me. Finally I sat straight up in my bed with my heart racing and guess what? I heard footsteps in my living room. I called out to see if it was Matt but no one answered. Then I heard the footsteps go to the kitchen. I sat there for a while and I didn't hear anything else so I got up and looked out my door. I saw that Matt's light was on in his room so I walked down the hall and asked if he had been in the living room right outside my door. He said yes because our router for the internet wasn't working and he was trying to fix it. Well I went back to bed but it took forever to go to sleep again.

Matt stays up late all the time but he is on one end of the house and I'm on the other end and usually late at night and early in the morning he won't come to the living room. He's busy watching tv or playing games in his room. So usually I don't hear him. I'm an extremely light sleeper when it comes to any unexpected noises. If it's something that I'm used to, it won't wake me up. But anything out of the ordinary, no matter how light the sound and I'll wake up with a jolt and it's hard to relax again.

About the time I was falling asleep again, I heard him walking around again. I got up again and he was still trying to fix the router. I asked if he couldn't just bypass the router for the night since his computer was the only one on at the time. He said he had but he thought he'd see if he could fix it. By this time I was cranky as hell because I had about 2.5 hours left to sleep before getting up. I told him I'd rather buy a new one than be kept awake all night. Finally he went to bed. He could sleep through a tornado so he doesn't understand that ever since I had him, my sleep hasn't been the same.

Anyway.. I hate getting scared like that. And it's really weird when I'm dreaming that I'm asleep.

Do you guys vhave dreams related to whatever is happening around you or what is on the tv if it's on?
