Subject: My Doctor is not allowing me to change...
In reply to: Richard 's message, "Changing meds... depression during change..." on 07:35:01 10/14/06 Sat

She is quite young, and new...but advised against the change in meds...she reminded me of the weaning off process and the total relapse...and assured me, that if the higher dosage of effexor does not take the edge off, then they will look at a combination of meds???

But she is quite happy with my exercise program, gave me some sample meds for my acid reflux...and will presribe full prescription if the sample works for me...and if last night was any indication...it is doing the job...did not wake up once with heartburn and this morning, did not feel nauseaus....yay.

But that said, Richard honey...one step at a time...she was quick to remind me all the negative effects of changing meds and to be careful when weaning myself off. I totally understand the feelings of withdrawl...suicide and irrational thoughts you are having...so please take care of yourself....this may sound kind of simple and totally not enough...but I cut up an apple or orange, add cinnamon and a couple cups of water in a pot and simmer it on the stove. It fills the house with a smell, that relaxes me and is comforting...I also get the same effect from fresh Eucalyptus leaves.

Something to try....

Love and hugs...
Rhonda
