Subject: Thank you for the Update...

I was wondering how you were handling things..the frustration of yet more tests and possibility of yet another handicap...but, must admit, with your limitations, you have been able to acquire such a love of physical exercise and I am hoping that you will yet again, prove just how much you value yourself.

My mom has a bad heart...she takes nitrol tablets...has to exercise daily...watch her diet and with the hard physical labour she had endured since the age of 12...has the arthritis so bad in her legs and hands...that she at times has had to take some heavy duty pain killers. But like you, she does not let this stop her from continuing to exercise on a regular basis...she says the activity, keeps her sane. Several years ago, she had to have her esophagus repaired and rebuilt...from years of acid reflux and many ulcers...it was major surgery, very painful and then infection set in...and we thought we were going to lose her. She vowed..after that surgery she would never have another...she has had many operations in her life...and she has the scars to show for it....

The doctor mentioned a few years ago...that she might need a pacemaker....as she got older...she is 65, and she still refused to even think of that surgery...she dreads yet another thing...to have lost...while she is trying so hard to live...

As her daughter...I would be selfish and want her to get it done...as her daughter, I would want her to stay longer with us and watch her grandchildren grow up...as her daughter...I don't think any amount of money could replace her...ever. She does have life insurance...savings...and some valuable items in her home...but none of that is worth the price of losing her...

But, as her friend...I would try desperately to understand the pain and the frustration that she is enduring...and hope that I would be able to accept her decision.

As your friend...I respect you so much...wonder how you are doing on the day to day...and look forward to your posts.. good or bad...because it means you are still there, reaching out...and that means alot to me.

Hugs..

Rhonda
