Subject: I am a horrible person

And an even worse parent. My (almost) second grader has at least 6 cavities. Some in his baby teeth some in his adult teeth. I have been trying to get him to comply to the teeth brushing ritual for years. But I have been remiss sometimes. I take his word that he has done a good job when I suspect he hasn't. It just gets so damn hard. I do the best I can and sometimes it isn't enough. We start baseball practice this week. I am determined to get him involved in routine and normalcy. Heck, what kid can experience mental illness when they are playing the all american game, right? Actually I'm just hoping the exposure will help him get used to social environments and I pray he makes a friend or two. Then we have the major dental appointment this week. And a contruction crew coming from the HOA to give an estimate on fixing the walls that crumbmed with the recent leakage from the roof. Lastly, our car repairs are to the toon (or is it tune?) of $2,500. That is about all that is left on our credit line and on our savings. Whipe out! I'm old and getting fat. I'm menopausal and my hair is too thin and I suck as a human being. Do I have a choice whether to get out of bed and keep up the on the hamster wheel? I don't feel like I do. Maybe that is a good thing, I am not sure.
