Gem is right, some kids just are more cavity prone. One of my kids is and one isn't. It isn't all about brushing although that and limiting sweets does help. Maybe the experience og getting the fillings will help motivate him to brush better?

I understand the other stuff. It adds up and becomes overwhelming at times. My daughter hit someone in her car (my car) while I was on vacation. She says she will pay for it and she also says she may just live with it since the car drives (she will pay for the damage to the other car which was minimal by contrast). I am unhappy about her driving a "ghetto car" (my car) and think she should pay to fix it, but I plan to transfer the title to her in January anyway. How's that for being a great mom? I give her a car for graduation -- along with responsibility for insurance, repairs, gas, etc. Haha.

Baseball might be a great sport for Danny, he might enjoy the pace and the ritual (baseball is full of ritual). I hope he does like it. If not, you gave it a try and that is all you can do. I tried to expose my kids to a lot of things and some they liked, some not so much. Have you thought about Boy Scouts? That's another good activity.

You aren't old or fat and your hair is fine. Have you tried Nioxin shampoo and scalp treatment, it makes your hair grow like a weed and smells great too. Well, I think it does help a little with hair growth. OK, I know it isn't the specifics, though. I felt like such a waste of space this past week. I keep comparing myself to other women who are so much more accomplished and successful and interesting. I am fighting weight gain, this vacations was horrible because I had no control over meals or mealtimes. Actually, I have no idea why I am fighting weight gain, I don't overeat and I exercise moderately (nothing like Richard but I walk a lot and lift hand weights). I guess my metabolism has just slowed down, it used to be if I just ate when I was hungry I didn't have to worry. Now I eat the same way I ate all my life and my clothes are too tight.

Anyway, the gist of this long post is that I do understand and I can see that you are in the same negative-tape place as I am. Not sure how that helps, other than I understand.

Better days ahead, one at a time.

Liz
