Interesting stuff. My thyroid already is being destroyed by Hashimoto's, an autoimmune disorder where my body makes antibodies that attack my thyroid as a foreign object. I am already on Synthroid and have been for close to 20 years now.

I'm not sure leveling off is what I need. Right now I am in a rut or what I call the hamster wheel. I feel flat and dull. I drag myself out of bed, go to work, go home, walk the dog which is the highlight of my day, read or watch tv or talk on the phone for a bit and conk out. Then I get up the next day and do it over.

I've lost my passion for most things (temporarily I hope?). On weekends I may go to the movies or a ballgame, go shopping, go out to eat. More going through the motions. I looked forward to vacation and when I was on vacation I looked forward to going home.

I have some ideas why I may be feeling in this limbo, but no solutions in my control. I'm willing to consider a pharmacological boost if I can find one that kicks my butt into feeling some energy and enthusiasm again. I am already too leveled out I fear. Because I do have some good days my Pdoc insists I am not unipolar. I cycle in the respect, but I haven't been manic or even hypomanic for a long time.

Thanks again.

Liz
