Subject: Picking him up this evening!
In reply to: Richard 's message, "Re: He's out of surgery" on 23:27:31 05/23/06 Tue

They said I could pick him up after work. I thought it was kind of soon but they said he'd actually heal better at home and they're probably right because he'll feel more relaxed at home. I'm sure the different environment, new people and sounds, all the animals going in and out of there is really stressing him out.

I'm supposed to keep him from jumping on stuff. He may not feel like it anyway. I can keep him confined to one room when I'm working but I know he'll cry if I leave him in there at night. The cats are not allowed in my room at night because I can't stand all the hair in my bed and I'm a little allergic to them. I've decided I'll pick him up a cheap doggie bed at the store and put it in the living room next to the couch. I'll put baskets or something in all the chairs in the living room so he won't attempt to jump up on them and then I might sleep on the sofa for a couple nights until he's feeling a bit better. That way he can sleep in his little bed next to me and not feel so alone.

I hope he heals fast and feels better soon.
