Subject: Latest Toupe' news

I talked to his doctor and he said that he still has a fever of a
little over 103. That's the best it's been since his surgery though.
He hasn't gotten the pathologist report back yet. He said he gave
Toupe' an appetite stimulant and then some canned cat food, which
Toupe' lapped up in a hurry. He just wants to keep him there on the
IV and antibiotics until the fever goes away and he's eating good.
They were giving him a bath when I called because he keeps peeing on
his towel (since he's too big for the litter pan they have in his
cage) and then the pee gets all over him. Anyway... the news
continues to be good. I'm going to visit him for my allotted 15
minutes again this evening and hopefully by the weekend he'll be back
home with me.

I made his sister mad this morning. She seems to be almost happy that
he's gone because she thinks she's the one and only. I started
calling Toupe' this morning and she got this look on her face
like "oh crap!" and started looking around for him. She likes him but
she's very jealous of him because he's always laying with me on the
couch. I'd let her lay there but when she does, she won't be still
and go to sleep like he does...she lays there and digs her claws into
me. I take it as long as I can while trying to push her claws off me
and finally I have to make her move or be raw. Toupe' curls up next
to me and goes to sleep.

Anyway... just wanted to let everyone know that he seems to continue
to improve. I don't know what the pathologist report will be but I'd
think that if his colon was leaking, he wouldn't be improving like he
is. The doctor doesn't think it's leaking either.
