Two years ago at the live fire Gregg Benefiel fired Kip's 1817 Springfield at the cornfed targets. The ball hit 10 yards short then ricocheted off the ground hitting the target in the chest!

Last year several shots from the competition hit the ground short from 200 yards out yet hit the target on the ricochet!

There are several stories of men having bullets taken out of arms and legs that had dirt caking the lead balls
extracted!

Must be why officers always yell "Aim Low!"
