Hey! We're a real world, internet connected, big time
Civil War organization here Rick!
Even if we don't use always use the message board for important, insightful discussions of why a sack coat with a hand sewn button hole is somehow magically better than one with a machine stitch at the average viewing range of say, 2 feet (which I judge to be the approximate distance an officer stands in front of you during inspection), or whether or not the blanket 1 guy preserved at the end of the war is the only truly authentic type of blanket issued.
This discussion ties us back to authentic impressions where there are absolutely NO women in the army, under any circumstances, at any time, despite documentation, and that we must always sleep in the mud, on rocks, without tents, and eat roasted acorns or we're failing to live up to some authentic standard or other.
Always remember, "they were tired, and unhappy, and they never sang".
