I'll repeat what I said about 40 postings further up this very long thread. "Let's move on in a spirit of friendly cooperation. I don't hold grudges and I hope that others feel the same."

Despite evidence to the contrary, I'm sure that everyone would like to restore the Sunbury Centre to how it was a couple of years ago. I'm happy to offer the hand of friendship to any who post on here; whether we've rowed in the past or not.

Please let's just stop and think. This thread started with a call for a bit of solidarity.. This was immediately leapt upon and derided. I think there are lots of bruised egos floating around but it doesn't take too much of an effort to draw a line under the past, take a deep breath and start again.

If this board is to succeed, a lot of people have to do as I've done and swallow their pride. I said above that I totally refute the charge of single-handedly destroying this board. Of course I do; the very idea is ridiculous. But I am prepared to say that, yes, I was involved in the unpleasantness towards the end. I was not alone. A lot of people, mainly anonymous, were part and parcel of the whole thing.

Come on, let's acknowledge the past and move on to a much better future. (Or will I now be hit with another barrage of invective from those who really should know better?)

Peter, you ARSE. Of course you aren't to blame for single-handedly destroying the board, I AM.

SAKE, you were last week's scapegoat, I'm the CURRENT one. Now stop stealing my thunder or I'll assail you with another barrage of invective!

NOW Seriously though, the anonymous posters and their mother hen Cath seem to have a cast of villains that brought down the Sunbury Centre that includes Peter, me and possibly Shawshank (although I think his name was only thrown in at the last moment because he's laughing too much).

Now anonymous friends. Think on this - none of these villains is going to take charge of the new Sunbury Centre, there will be a management team of two or three COMPLETELY DIFFERENT people to guide the bright, new future. Two or three names that happily haven't been fingered in any of this entertaining blame-game.

So this begs the question. Why not have a bit of trust and faith in this new team and let them get on with their work? If you perceive problems in the past functioning of the SC, why not trust them to be strong and capable enough to sort them out and stop them arising again?

I place on record my complete confidence in the new management team of the Sunbury Centre to take us forward. I hope others on here will second that motion.

Or if you want, let's have some more backbiting - we need to bring some more light into the life of that evil scoundrel Username :)

Friends, the choice is yours :)
