Username is a great source of entertainment tinged with gothic post modernism and, for that, he deserves to be kept amused.

Steve, you've just come up with a throw away comment about me which I would like you to explain. How can I be mother hen to the anonymous posters? I don't control them or know who they are unless I choose to look at the admin board, which I can't be arsed to do otherwise I'd be there all bloody day. I don't get a load of emails from LI supporters each morning saying "Hey there CluckyLady, who can we pretend to be today, we really fancy slagging someone off. Organise us, please, for we are your willing chickslaves and need you to egg us on to further extremes".

I've also made a point of posting under my own name on this thread. If there IS a Chicken Gang out there, I didn't hatch them and I take issue with the suggestion that I'm at the head of some kind of feathered posse that I have enlisted to do - what, exactly?

Extract any personal issues I have with a member of this thread and what are you left with? Exactly the same issues that other people have and which have been described perfectly adequately before. It really isn't anything more sinister than that. If people choose to post anonymously, then that's up to them. I don't have magic powers which can stop people logging on and writing stuff. I only wish I did.

I recall a new guy posting on here (well, the old SC) a while back - can't remember his name - asking a relatively stupid question if you'd been going to the Madstad regularly, but a reasonable one considering he'd just started supporting the club. He was treated with utter contempt and unsurprisingly he buggered off. You don't have to do a Craic Special on people and ask them to describe their record collection and their favourite fart by way of welcome, but a bit of civility wouldn't have gone amiss. And yeah, I should have said something, but didn't and that was poor site admining on my part.

"Oh, calm down, Cath, it isn't life or death. You really need to get out more. Women and their hormones, eh. Who rattled your cage this morning. Try posting on the Millwall site and then you're really see the meaning of thick skinned"

And so on and so forth.
