Subject: Could they make Lucky Spencer any more stupid?

Okay, he's upset because his wife, family and town have played him for a fool for months but . . . . why would he let the woman who stood by and watched his baby (any baby for the matter) hold and play with him? How brain dead can he be that he doesn't see the possibility of her harming the baby? Sam's told everybody within earshot that she wanted a baby but she's unable to have children of her own. Shouldn't a lightbulb go on over his head?

The characters are all so destroyed and yet Guza finds a way to knock them down some more.
