so that all the Jason worship would at least be excusable.

The important thing to remember is that JASON SAVED A BABY.

Let's see if I understand the concept:

Jason shouldn't have been arrested for skipping bail because he rescued a baby. Jason and only Jason, not the FBI or the police, or the baby's "parents" were capable of driving across the city line to Maureen's house to get the baby back. I'm guessing that Jason didn't have a cell phone so that a call couldn't have been made to the police so that he wouldn't have leave Port Charles and violate his release. Speaking of that, people seem to have forgotten that he was in jail for killing Alcazar -- just Alcazar and not the dozens of other people he murdered.

That little detail in unimportant because JASON SAVED A BABY.

Also, Sonny used a "get out of jail" monoply card on a crooked judge so that Jason could save a baby.

The writing is pathetic, heavy-handed and sicking. So many characters are destroyed just so Jason can be the show's golden hero. I think this is worse than when Sonny was the apple of Guza's eye.
