Date Posted: 19:38:25 01/06/05 Thu Sorry for creating a new post on this, but I've got more photos. Cross posted to the various helmet forums. Can anyone provide me with a photo that isn't a mini helmet that clearly shows the Eagles with a black outline in 1973? In my never-ending quest to prove that the Eagles never wore a black stripe around their wings in 1973, may I present the following: Cover of a book showing Roman Gabriel in action. Note that Gabriel only wore the white helmet in 1973, his first year with the Eagles:  Second, a black and white photo from the Eagles game hosting the Cowboys. Again, no black outline here:  Finally, an advertising shot, in color, showing no black outline:  These last two photos came from a game program from 1973.
