It's worthwhile keeping it on the page even if it never happened and was never even considered. After 44 years it would be time for a change anyway, if a change is necessary. There is a local legend that the team has considered a "Viking Head" helmet from time to time....but never got past the "thinking about it" stage.

Some helmet logos are perfect as they are and should not be changed in any substantial way. I'd put the Packers in that category, along with the Vikings. Also Dallas, Cleveland, Pittsburg, Indianapolis and of course the Rams.

I'll allow for the fact that some people might disagree with me on which should be changed and which should not. They'd be wrong, but are still free to disagree.

Klaus, your site continues to be impressive......nobody else does anything on the Continental League, and your historical section for both the NFL and AAFC are a treat. There are a few logos from the early AFL's available, in fair, poor or terrible condition. Perhaps you'd consider doing them someday as well.

A question. Your historical NFL helmets have logos on them. Your AAFC helmets do not. Howcome?
