Re: In case all of you bashing on Miss N.O pageant didn't notice-if you were even there; the pgt started late b/c of #1 debbie greene (former director) was running late due to uncontrollable circumstances- and shelly wanted to give her that respect and some of the other judges late getting ready too..Secondly, I think the opening was great, the fashion show was good (which was nice compared to other prlims been to)..Sherry Strothers (emcee) is an incredible speaker/emcee..however, girls dropped out/added at last minute , and numbers changed and many felt she adjusted well to last minute changes this is part of the pgt industry- in and out and change and reorganize.it happens everytime. You can be organized as can be, but things happen at last minute. Kudos to Shelly- Many of us felt it was much better than any other prelim seen over years. Yes DG was late, I understand waiting for her, but say that so folks are not wondering what was happening. Not to mention, there is no reason your other judges should be running late. As a pageant director you don't let your judges run late, you tell them to be ready and in their seats 15 mins before your start time, they are working for you, not you for them and they should be respectful of your contestants and your pageant or they should not be your judges. The pageant was way too long and no DG and MH don't have long pageants. In fact I don't recall that they have any breaks, they just run and get the pageants over with in a timely manner. While the style show is nice and it is great to have interview count for 50%, if you want to have a pageant where the winners do well at USA then run your pageant like the state pageant. Girls don't have 35 mins to get ready for the next phase of competition and interview is not worth more. -- Sorry to offend you , but we all have to be honest with ourselves, 15:04:10 11/28/08 Fri
