Subject: Something is rotten on the judges panel in the state of South Carolina. Their is only one panel of judges and 3 of them are Nascar folks. Stacy Compton and his wife are judges, they are listed on Standout Productions website as clients. Yes, my friends Miss Coolley got the judges, check out her website www.Standoutproductions.net He is listed under May 2008 schedule. WRONG< WRONG< WRONG>

It amazes me that someone like Paula Miles (whom I admire and respect) would risk her well earned credibility by letting Chelsea Cooley basically take over her pageants. Chelsea needs to remember that Paula is the Director and Paula needs to remember that Chelsea's income is directly tied to the outcome of these pageants. Friends of the pageant coach (i.e Chelsea) should NEVER be allowed to judge. If this is the case, a lot of Moms and Dads have wasted a lot of money in this time of extreme economic crisis and if that is the case....shame on Chelsea for trying to stack the panel and shame on Paula for letting her. This is too bad. I wonder why Paula would allow this and not do her homework on the judges. It also speaks of those judges in question as well as Chelasea to allow it to happen. It does make them loose a little credibility in a few eyes. It is too bad this is happening and I wish all directors would put more effort into selecting judges. Paula used to advise her locals to not have married couples as it could publically "taint" the overall legitimacy of the score. I doubt very seriously she's doing something that she didn't allow. Three judges out of the six judges have a Nascar connection: Stacy Compton, Vickie Compton, and Lori Hamilton. These six judges are judging both the Miss & Teen categories. During the opening number: Miss LA USA, Miss LA Teen USA, and Chelsea Cooley all walked the runway together (the NC queens in attendance did not). The Comptons are listed on Cooleys website as her clients, he and his wife and Bobby hamiltons widow are judges, there is only one panel that also includes Cal Tindal, Jonathan Black and some TV person. There arent 2 panel like the past. Now dont you think Miss Cooley will be telling the Comptons who needs to be the winners. Come on people! This is wrong. Paula is breaking her own rules which I find very disappointing. There is definitely a married couple judging on the same panel that are friends with one of the primary "Pageant Judges". LA USA had only 5 judges for Teen and Miss - (3 men 2 women) 4 from Texas ( 2 judges were married Megan Ellis parents) - 1 from Colorado - They were right on with Teen, but Miss Division judging was way off (NT) -- observer- Prefer judges for each group, 11:27:30 11/22/08 Sat
Regardless of whether Chelsea is the only Miss USA in attendance (which I will still never understand her winning), once she decides to become a Pageant Coach and make her living off of these girls, that over rides her status as a former Miss USA (at these events). She cannot have her cake and eat it too. Paula needs to sit down and have a long talk with her after this pageant. Paula can eirher look out for her own best intertst or the best interst of Chelsea. Something tells me that Paula will resolve tihs quickly and Chelsea will not continue to play such a dominant role in these pageants......unless Paula is planning to let her take over???? Possinly. It is too bad this is happening. WHy would a director allow Chelsea to run the damn pageant. It has just made me loose respect for Chelsea.Her business will grow depending on the outcome. Of course one of her girls will be winning. By the way why is she claiming to coach people she has never coached. Her newsletters are very very deceptive.
