Subject: How can i tell if he likes me?????

i have liked this guy in my year 4 about 6 months now. i thought we were getting close when he got together with my mate! i was sad about it but i got over it! over time my 'fondness' of him got bigger! he broke up with his gf about a month ago but his gf is pregnant! he says he doesn't want a gf until it's all over with her and at this time he still didn't know that i liked him! he keeps telling my friend that he wants to kiss me but hes too scared. he rubs my leg all the time and in the cinema the other day he kissed my neck! 2day my friend told him that i liked him and now i feel awkward around him. he said he would go out with me but not yet (Because of his ex). Now that he knows i like him he has gone off me! surely if he liked me it wouldn't matter would it?????????????
