Author: Jake
Subject: He shrugged a bit, his lips pursed as he gazed out over the parking lot, taking in the lines of cars and wondering just absently which one of those could hold the undercover detectives just watching them. It was ridiculous, people did worse things then him and Adam had pulled. For god sake, some guy had killed his pregnant wife and in Chicago there was a serial killer loose and these guys were tracking them from Cleveland? What a ridiculous system America had. Forcing his attention back to his sister he shrugged, his brow furrowed. "I am sure Adam told you that neither one of us has the cleaniest past."

  • "Yeah, Jake, I know. But that doesn't look like 'nothing' to me." She shook her head at him once more before sighing, stepping back and heading towards the door - sometimes all this was so tiring. As if they hadn't grown up around such crap their entire lives, she couldn't believe that he had ever even gotten involved in anything along the same lines. "Dinner's ready." But she made no request for him to join her and his girl - of course he would be welcome, but she wasn't in the mood to just pretend everything was great. (NT) -- Nat, 19:39:40 11/30/04 Tue
