Her brows furrowed gently as she sat stiffly on the edge of a chair - eyes shifted between her brother and her boyfriend as she listened to the story in disbelief. She couldn't believe that they would do something so ridiculous, yet it seemed that there were few questions on if in fact they had done it, and more on the how and the why. Partway through the spiel, she just stood - pushing the chair back as she did and headed out the door of the room and into the hallway without another look to either of the men. Adam's hard shell faultered for just a moment at her sudden departure before he let out a soft breath and turned his attention back to the detective. After thirty minutes, Brendan came out, dropping down beside his daughter and holding her closely to his side. "Honey..."
