The moment the door clicked open, the blonde standing by the sliding glass doors turned - so slowly, so deliberately to face the intruder. At the sight of her brother, she sighed a low, soft breath of relief and moved over to wrap her arms tightly around his neck. Her voice was a quiet thick murmur in his ear, eyes squeezed tightly shut for the moment. "Where's Adam?" She held herself close to the support of her big brother because she was pretty sure that she knew the answer to that, and was afraid that once he confirmed her deepest fears, she wouldn't be able to stand on her own. Her stomach twisted and her chest tightened, eyes opening, though she didn't loosen her arms around Jake's neck. // From where she sat on the couch, she just watched silently, legs crossed beneath herself and fingers folded deliberately in her lap. It was hard, but she was playing the support right now - Nattie was such a strong girl, but it was near impossible for her to be tough when her brother and the love of her life were facing the possibility of jail.

He let out a soft breath, his arms wrapping around his sister tightly while she would still allow out, his own bloodshot eyes sliding shut before he mumbled, his voice thick and gravelly.."He's in jail, Natalie, he goes before the grand jury tomorrow for the arraignment..." He drew back a little, keeping his arms around her though his eyes rested on Aly for a second, searching for any sign of disgust or hatered on her features.
