"How'd you get off it?" She'd grown up around this sort of thing - her dad and the guys were mostly clean by the time she was conscious of anything, but she still had heard the stories and knew what it was like. Hell, her own mother was just that messed up - for all she knew, the woman could have OD'd in an alleyway months after she was born.
