Norman,
I went back and reviewed what I'd written and I can see where you (or anyone) would believe that I was saying that with the men he was picky about their age and required the mens parent's approval, not the women.

For the record, I would be, just like you, absolutely shocked if P.Y. accepted anyone, male or female, without the approval of their parents.

Some of the women I detailed came into the ashram not only with their parent's approval but with their parent as well. For instance, Daya, Ananda, and Mr. Wright's mother became a full-fledged renunciate (I forget her monastic name)as P.Y.'s disciple. So did Mrinalini's mother, Meera Mata.

So I apologize to anyone who read my prior post and came away with the impression that I was leveling something negative toward Yoganandaji of a moral nature.

I will be more aware in future posts of the words I use and concentrate on being as clear as possible.

Thanks for taking the time to ask for a clarification. A good learning experience for me!
