Daya Ma and Ananda Mata came with their mother's permission; some years latter, Mrs. Wright came to the ashram also and lived there as a nun until her death in 1972. Her monastic name: Shyama Mata.

Mrinalini Mata came to live in Mt. Washington with her mother (later, Meera Mata) and a brother and two sisters. Only Mrinalini and Meera remained in the ashram as nuns.

Uma Mata was a daughter of a couple who were SRF students and residents in the Encinitas Colony for a while.
