The Masters are so balanced.

Here is a tidbit from Lloyd Kennel's son who recently passed. Doctor Kennel was a lay minister for Master out of San Diego.

Master went to dinner at some non devotee's house in Hollywood. She made tuna noodle casserole. When they were seated she uncovered it and someone there started to say a word in protest to the effect that Yogananda is a Swami and none of the rest of them ate meat either. Before the 1st word was out Yogananda kicked him in the shin under the table so as to stop.

Yogananda did eat one helping of the dish, but did not get seconds. He got seconds of everything else.

Now another story comes to mind...
Baktananda was invited to dinner when Master was alive and they served beef as I can recall. He ate what they served and did not make a fuss. Master said to him later "you ate meat, huh." "Yes sir" Bakta replied. "You did the right thing" Master replied.

Of course Master was staunchly vegetarian and severely reprimanded some chelas who ate meat or drank.

One is reminded of Jesus saying "it is not so much what goes into the mouth as much as what comes out of it".

Leo Cocks told me he and Master were talking to Baktananda and Bakta walked away. Master said "behold a man with no guile...Micheal is like a rocket shooting to God". He always was so attuned to Master.
