Hi H,

Have we been here before?

Chit-vriti-nirodha, the state of yoga and also the experience of samadhi, is a fully awake state with the attention turned either inward or outward, makes no difference. People maybe confuse samadhi with meditation. One may be the result of the other. When ones attention becomes very sharp and focused in a particular situation, ones mental activities can become suspended for some time. Granted there may not be much wisdom gained, but with meditation and proper guidance the experience is deepened and a type of supersensual knowledge begins to dawn. Ones karma probably decides who will be interested in pursuing the initial experience.

Nice seeing you again H.

Mike
