It is very nice, however I disagree in the following points.

A) "It is possible to realize the Self and still not reach the emancipated state."

You cannot be self-realized without been emancipated. They are not mutually exclusive. Having a conceptual understanding that you are not the body doesn't mean being self realized. Now, the fallen yogi, is reborn see bg 6.41. It does not mean he is self-realilzed.

B) "Non-yogis may be freed at death, provided all karmas have been worked out and the Self is realized as the body is released."

Impossible. The author is contradicting himself or herself.

C) "Even having attained perfect liberation, a soul may consciously choose to be reborn to help others on the path."

I going to research this a little more but I have my reservation to its veracity. To choose is a duality.
It cannot exist in the spiritual realm.
