Helion,

I do not see a problem with the statement of Anon quoted in (B). One does not have to be a "yogi" in my opinion in the "last" incarnation to be freed at death. There are many paths to God and if one has "worked out all Karma" and the "self is realized as the body is released" as Anon says, then I should not be so presumptious to say that liberation is not possible if they are not a practicing yogi.

I also have a different view than you about statement (A). Let me provide you a simple example. Both my mother and my father, neither of who were yogis in their "last" (that I know of) earthly incarnation, described to me experiences that clearly showed that they understood that their eartly body was part of a dream-like delusion. My mother (who often spoke about the jiva, mayic delusion and such) described actual experiences of "her" becoming a ball of light that could see omnidirectionally. My father also told of travelling out of body. Neither had any fear of physical death and were happy to "move on". Of course I cannot comment as to whether they achieved emancipaton. However, I believe they came to a deep understanding of "self" in the incarnation that I was priveledged to share with them.

Thank you and Anon for your wisdom and beautiful writing.

Waqidi
