Sundara! What is the proof that we pass the first one, annamaya? Here, we erronously take the body to be the self. Its foundation is food. When food is god, we certainly can say is the lowest level of god realization. My dog has this problem. The mayority of us slip into this level of self-realization. It appears that when the body is here, we are here. When is healthy we are 'living'. The sthoola sharira.

The manifestation of the error of taking our self as the Annaya kosha is in the form of experiences and percepions like: I am fat or thin, I am whithe or black, I am young or old etc. They may remain a fact at a particular level of our personality, but will not be seen as "my" definition, and this makes all the diference. Therefore, to move from one kosha to the other a transformation of consciousness is necessary. I must point out that the fear of preservation for food an shelter are under annamaya kosha. Have we pass it, yet?
