Subject: Stripping the Gurus

I have just posted an extensive essay online regarding the reported problems with Yogananda and SRF, at http://www.strippingthegurus.com. It brings together, in one place, a great many of the allegations against the guru and his organization, along with much eye-opening research of my own.

The same site also has articles/chapters on the alleged problems with Zen Buddhism, Swami Satchidananda, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Sai Baba, Swami Rama, Sri Chinmoy, Thai Buddhism, Scientology, est, Yogi Bhajan, Trungpa, Muktananda, Rajneesh, Adi Da, Andrew Cohen, and the grossly overrated "Einstein of consciousness studies," Ken Wilber. It also contains sections on Aurobindo, Ramana Maharshi, Nityananda, Sivananda, and Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati.

Not surprisingly, none of those figures are anywhere near what they claim to be. Nor, for that matter, were Ramakrishna, Vivekananda, Krishnamurti, Ananda Moyi Ma, Meher Baba, or Rudolf Steiner. Nor are any of their communities reported to be any healthier than is the environment within and around SRF.

Undoubtedly, all of that thoroughly researched information will only serve to elicit the divine love and compassion of every sincere devotee who reads it.
