I dont want to add to what Anandamoy said---that was all I recall. Besides that Master asked 6 hours of some people once a week but usually he asks 3. That is clear. There must be a reason for it. It could be that if you are a kriyaban it takes 1 1/2 hours to do the routine on average (if you are a beginner)and to double that is enough of a challenge for most. I know many ministers say double the amount of kriyas you normally do for the long session instead of having all do 108. Again, most often the general pronouncements are for the beginner and Anandamoy may have been also addressing this crowd.

The tongue stretches could be withheld because they may repel some, detour others from more vital matters and perhaps the danger of being sued for a few impatient people cutting the cord of the tongue. At hidden valley it was decided not to allow a steambox that one wanted to donate because someone would stay in it until they had to be hospitalized.

It is likely that it takes more than one life to accomplish good kechari as well as celibacy and meditation and to live the sannyas vows completely. This is realistic.
