About khechari, some thoughts:

Apparently some people have practiced it in a previous life and do it spontaneously since they are kids (my wife is such a case). But in the case of those who do not have either the habit or the natural ability (like myself), it seems highly unlikely that the tongue will do an unnatural thing spontaneously. I can lock my gaze in the spiritual eye, but I'm pretty sure my tongue hasn't moved like that.
After all, if khechari was really so easy, there wouldn't have been any need for the preparatory exercises Lahiri taught, would it?

Could it simply be that SRF is holding the teaching of khechari because westerners can be silly enough to get hurt doing the exercises and then try to sue the organization?
Otherwise I frankly cannot imagine why teaching how to exercise that particular muscle is such a big problem.
