You are definitely very much mistaken there. There is so much rubbish out there, and so much padding in the scriptures, that you do have to understand well in order to collect it, simplify it, and put it together.


Yes, I agree. He clearly does have understanding and he seems well read. My impression though is that it is theoretical academic understanding rather than direct experience.

My real disagreement with his site is his claim to have developed an effective new system (or synthesis). He describes himself as a "spiritual scientist" but I think he is more a "spiritual undergraduate." I don't believe that anyone except a very advanced yogi should attempt to tamper with tried and tested systems. Unless he has reached a very advanced stage himself I don't see how he can claim to have developed a system to take others to states he has not himself achieved.
