If everyone who feels an affinity to the teachings of Christ had been his disciple in an earlier life, he should have had millions of disciples during the three years of his mission, and this is already more than the entire population of Palestine at that time.

The teachers I like to quote - Ramdas, Ramakrishna, Brahmananda, recently Kirpal, were all devotion-oriented people. Sri Aurobindo was a purna yogi, but predominately a Bhakta.

I do not feel like a disciple at all.

By the way, I just found a fascinating talk with the Mother about soul and after-life:

I didn't know that Henry Ford (it must be the 'Ford' mentioned there, didn't look it up) was interested in these questions. I know that Thomas Alva Edison was - in his last years he attempted to construct machines to contact the dead; however his efforts failed.

Interesting also that a number of famous people ask for such questions or look for a guru prior to their death - we spoke of Kennedy who afterwards got assassinated; but he wasn't old then.

The daughter of Woodrow Wilson was a disciple of Sri Aurobindo. She lived at his Ashram and got the new name 'Nishta'. I think she suffered from bad health and didn't live long. Woodrow Wilson himself was acquainted with the famous medium Edgar Cayce.

By the way I have seen Huzur in dreams...

Some years ago many people reported to see Sai Baba in dreams - even those who had little connection with him or only by way of family (parents being devotees etc.). A strange phenomenon. Generally he used to show up in red light.

One Kriyaban felt afflicted by these Sai visions which created a conflict in his mind as he was a follower of Yogananda. No idea how he is now.
