BROWN TO all local directors: Aloha Miss and Teen Directors, In recent months, we have received an uptick of inquiries regarding former competitors volunteering on all levels who are still competition-eligible. For clarification, an eligible female for competition even if they are engaged, may not serve as a local or State program officer or committee member. They may temporarily volunteer on the day of the event to assist in non-official capacities, i.e: manning a reception desk, helping to distribute information, selling program books, all areas that are helpful but are one-off opportunities and not positions of authority. They especially should not be assigned any volunteer role working with delegates, in dressing rooms, interview lineup, or other activities where they are assisting other competitors.
