I could have stopped this sooner, blocked the Weave and sent the Guardians to a place of safety. I could have struck through the Weave, using it's circle of life like a sword and shield, both protecting those who could not defend themselves while striking the killing blow to insure they would never do harm again. So much pain and fear that could have been averted."

Sinking down to rest at the base of the tree, wings feathered and folded around her like a living cloak, her voice bleak and weary, she looked at her companion and asked again,

"So, who am I redeeming? Myself or the vampires that we now hunt?"
