Did he wake?

Thought shimmered, near translucent as it rebounded across her ming, ricochette of fire and light, ice and eternity. She wanted to sigh, emotion displaying itself in a depthless blue about her wings, tips shimmering in blackish form... obsidion etched onto a canopy of white and gray.

I am asleep still, lost in dream...

...but why does it take me when I am awake?

Why when risks run high and life's dream could be ended by home's residence....

...I never heard his answer...

...did the boy wake...

Rose petals became substantial part of dreamscape, current reality bending and twisting so they seemed to appear within an eyeblink's moment. Caught within her wings, light glowing through them and striking garnet red on every ruffled edge. Even feathered they reacted as such, wingstrokes sending petals in dizzying array about her form, though she could not feel it.

...are you awake, boy...

She dared not expect an answer, to receive one would show how truly close to reaper's embrace he had come.
