She felt rather than heard Zenra's answer and mentally shook her head. She wasn't giving the vampires a choice because she felt they deserved it, she was giving them a choice because it was the right thing to do. Silently she asked Zenra if the vampires who had slaughtered the Icewind clan had been given a choice by the ones who controlled them. Did they have the option of refusing to fight, to murder so many? She didn't think so, the deaths had served no purpose, the vampires had only killed, they had not attacked to sate a hunger or in a defense of something they held dear. They had attacked because the one who controlled them ordered them to. No choice at all for them, and that wasn't right either. She had released Wyrd from his bond to her because Wyrd would most likely have destroyed the vampires without giving them the choice of being severed from the Weave.
Running along the tree branches, several feet above the ground, her thoughts shifted from Zenra to Al'yander. She wondered what he was doing now, and wondered if perhaps she should have stayed with him before going off on this quest. She wondered if she would see him again, and as her feet found the trail along rough bark she wondered if he would find his own path. Kyrr soared above the trees, a silent sentry in sky. This was one companion she would never willingly get rid of, though sending her to stay with the clan for her own protection was different. Then she hadn't wanted for the hawk to be hurt or killed, now though she needed the bird for the assistance she could provide. A born hunter, she knew how creatures would stalk their prey, how they would strike and how to strike back and do the most amount of damage. The wolf pack she had traveled with would also have been a great addition, but she did not feel like hunting with them at the moment, Without Azreal it didn't feel right, the pack would follow him while Kyrr followed her. Coursing through the trees she wondered, not for the first time, if what she was doing was right.
