Stopping to rest and nibble on some dried fruit she carried with her, she pondered her choices for what awaited her. She could sense the vampire not far distant, thoug it wasn't the one she had been searching for. This female was younger than the other, though just as dangerous. She wasn't sure how to approach without being seen as either food or threat, both of which were unexceptable choices. Choosing what she perceived as the coward's way out, she sent Kyrr in to scout out the location first, showing Lashana the vampire through the bird's eyes. There was blood surrounding the vampire and the shell of her meal. Gagging at the sight, she continued to watch as the vampire bent and slashed her own arm, the thick syrupy blood flowing into the mouth of her victim. She was Turning another to continue they cycle and anger stirred, a rising tide of molten fury. To hell with offering a choice, what choice did this monster give that boy? None. Pushing off through the trees, wings flapping once strongly before settling down to a silent rhythem she rose in the air. Once high above the trees, she slid the silver staff from her back, and dove, staff held before her like a lance. It was a pity she hadn't thought to shape the staff to a point on one end, it would have made this far quicker, and much much easier. Slamming the staff against the vampire's shoulder, she had missed the head due to her speed, she flipped in the air, the momentum of the strike abruptly stopped, and landed in a crouch opposite the vampire. She only hoped that the boy didn't regain what passed for consciousness until after she had destroyed this vampire. Then she would drive the stake through his heart, and grant him the peace of death that had been denied him.
