Stars crossed vision, a moment in time when there was nothing, and everything was possible. A tap, a twist, and a snap of a whip, then an explosion. Stars danced across the sky in millions, each dancing as though alive, and perhaps they were. The birth of life, starting out as nothing more than specks to evolve into more....interesting things.

A son turned to his father. "Papa, what are you doing here?"

Creating something new and wonderous.

"Will it always be as such?"

No, in the end, everything will turn to the eyes of their maker, and shun them. New always becomes old, and wonderous often becomes something dangerous. These are the ancient laws of the universe.

"That's sad, papa."

Golden orbs graced another scene, something far more deadly.

A claws hand reaching up from the bowels of darkness and clasping around a sparkling, gleaming sphere, then slowly squeezing it as talons scraped across the surface, rivlets of liquid disturbingly similar to blood trickled out, a hollow scream coming from an unknown mouth echoing across time.

Time stood still at the last moment, holding in time a frame of eternity that would forever haunt the minds of those who remembered it. A stillframe of the past.

Emeralds lingered, veins of gold flowing over a brown landscape. Crystaline shells overlaying a glossy finish to obsidian shine. Crimson and blood intermingled to form something that would never cease to be.

"The past repeats itself once more......"
