"Lady Garnet! Lady Garnet!"
A young man glided his way to the ground, his hands cupped over his mouth. He touched ground, his wings folding and he immediately broke into a run.
"By my goddess....Lady Garnet!"
"What's all the noise?"
It wasn't Lady Garnet that came out, but one of the younger knights, his dress casual as his new armor was being cleaned and polished.
The boy stopped and rest his hands on his knees to catch his breath.
"Garnet...Master Jin...seer taken..." was all he could word while he breathed.
The knight looked at the boy with a faint disbelief before figuring something out.
"Wait, you're from the new village." The boy nodded. "Your seer...you mean that colorful woman?" The boy nodded again.
After a moment the young man stood up straight, still slightly panting, but not enough to keep him from talking.
"It was this morning we found her gone. She's usually the first one awake to help set the day's plans. But she wasn't out there this morning. We found it strange, so they sent me to go and get her, thinking she may have over slept. There was no answer at her door, so I went in and looked around. All I found were these."
From a small bag on his hip he brought out three extremly brightly colored feathers that changed color at different angles.
"They weren't bladed, so what ever it was that got her took her by surprise. Which is strange because it's hard to do that to a seer."
The young man looked agrieved.
"After that, this strange woman appeared from no where and started shooing us on to chores. The same kind Ariel would have. We didn't question her, she seemed to know what she was doing. But I felt it was needed to tell Lady Garnet or Master Jin."
The young knight concidered the young man for a moment.
"Master Jin isn't here, and Lady Garnet is teaching in the castle. Come, I'll take you to her."
The knight turned, heading for the ungated door to the castle, followed by the young man.
Golden eyes watched from a dew glazed window, a brightly colored plume fanned out in amusement and curiosity.
"Interesting. Though something about this feels wrong. If I'm not mistaken, the places where these forgotten are living are holy and no demon would be caught creeping around it. Maybe it wasn't a demon, and if not...who?"
