The question and answers laid heavily on her mind as she was taken to putting on this new set of clothes.

My mind reels. The lack of images I find quietingly disturbing. But it's not completely gone, just muted, blurred. Amber eyes and ebon skin. I've seen these things before.

"I know this face. But I can't place a name."

She sat again, her hand to her face, resting her head on it. It was time to think. If these demons had something to be concerned about, then it was something serious. Possilby something that threatened to destroy all if left unchecked. Maybe she could force one. She'd done it before, but a migraine afterwards had been her reward. Maybe it was time to involk that again.

"Direct control always has its price," she whispered.
