It echoed not off walls, nor through time, but across space. It was a slow draw, one born of annoyance, and determination. Every inch seemed to sing itself of praise and promise. The blade shone outside its lover's embrace, reflecting eternity off its highly polished surface. A question arose, the blade bade it so. Of whom am I to adhear blood to my surface, or defend the life of what? There was no answer to this unspoken question, but the only responce was a set of eyes in the darkness, glowing of their own accord...an azure glow. An anger so great it resonated through space and time. A golden threat vibrated so furiously it strumed like a riff of a guitar. One note, one low vibrating note of retribution. There was the sound of a gate opening, and two sets of feet scuffling out of a dark place, one set heavy, another light. A glint of gold in the darkness, a sheen of platinum.
