A breeze, gentle, cool. A lovers whisper dancing slowly over the ground, gently rustling leaves. An etheral light gently glowing in the growing light of day.
Then it quickened. A blast of hurricane force wind over a desert came forth, unforgiving, impartial. Blue grass withered under it’s assault passing the point of fire and broke down simply to ash.
Then the sound of a sledgehammer striking a metal wall. The sound resonated across the open plains, vibrating the very soul with its cord.
Altrez fell out of bed, an angry green glow sending fear into his heart and terror into his soul. He scrambled to his feet and out the door, the scene before prismatic eyes confirming all he had tried to deny.
Green flames licking toward the settlement. Forgotten were running around in panic, terror so thick he could taste it. Bitter. Only one was not running. Only one watching the oncoming death without qualm. A titan amongst children, scared children screaming for their lives.
Another slam of sound and the ground shook, a cloud of dust coming up from the rattling ground.
Myuler stood there, watching the onslaught of green against the shield, a crazy smile on his face. Altrez walked up toward him from behind, his eyes wide with terror.
Myuler slowly turned to Altrez, his head lowered and he looked up toward the fear crazed prophet, his eyes glinting, and his head slightly tilted, as though he was insane.
“I said it would hold,” Myuler said softly. “Ceallac sends his greeting card.”
Tattered wings unfurled, the magic metal stripped away long ago to the ragged remains of black feathers.
“This is only the beginning,” he said again, slowly turning back to face the sheild of his making. The green flames licked over it, stemmed back by its magic while everything outside it screamed and writhed. “There will be more to come. I hope the supplies last.”

Hooded figures scrambled around, a pale blue glow reflecting off a grand castle. Mages scattered about, hands raised with glows of their own, matching the blue of the barrier. An attempt to strengthen a barrier in a short amount of time.
A figure in a purple robe was one among them, hands raised, though eyes off to the distance, where the direction of the pool was. It would be a terrible loss to lose such a beauty.

Darkness crept slowly away as the sky started to lighten. An hour till dawn. Fiery orange wings quivered in distraught, a restless sleep fading to something more sinister. The cries of animals were heard off in the distance, and hum of insects from far away, as though buzzing in mass. A golden glow was the only other thing seen through the thin tress, a glitter of red.
Get to Hogoromo now. Bring the child, suspicions are trival right now. Go!
The floating voice was desperate, yet undefined. The screaming grew louder in the distance.
You don’t have long till dawn. Hurry.
A faint gold glow emanated from select feathers, as if to say ‘wake up, move!’.
