Cool brightness, filtering down through the branches, illuminating the dark with soothing light. Bending down she hugged the little girl that sought to give comfort, accepting the child as her own despite the means of her creation. Rising slowly, one hand on Tiani's shoulder she looked at Jin somberly.
"Take my daughter back to Hogoromo, I'm sure you heard Zenra through the feather as I did. I... I won't be going with you, there's something I have to do first, but I promise you I WILL come, I have another promise to keep. I swore that Onimaru wouldn't have my daughter and that hasn't changed. Watch over her for me my friend."
Turning from both of them she brought her wings sweeping down, launching herself skywards towards the shimmering globe that was the moon. Soaring higher she waited, weaving magics around herself for one specific purpose, one way to lash back against the coming of the sun. The moon seemed to hover, not moving though that was merely an illusion. It did move, but the celestial make-up kept it rotating between the earth and sun.
As the sun rose, bile green and sickly, the heat rose with it. Bathed in the coolness of moonlight she had garnered for this purpose she released the magics that she had been weaving into a kind of net. Like a mage with a cantrip she multiplied the light that the moon gave off, a silvery blanket that smothered the rotting sun. It took more time than she had believed, and could smell the rotting carcasses of animals that had not survived. She was far enough away from the sea that the second part of her counter-offensive took precious time. Water rose from several bodies of water in the form of mist which she redirected out along the path made by the moon's soft light. When sparkling sea soaked moonlight ringed the sun in diamond style formation jewels formed, returning the sun to it's former brilliance. As the emerald stones of the sun fell to the earth so did she, her own energies exhausted by the fight to save her home. As she fell she damned Dru'riden with all her heart, tears of anger, frustration and pain making jewels of their own plummet faster than she fell. One formed, a brilliant blue, green and gold, and without thinking she caught it before it fell. A silent message went through the link to Zenra and the StarGem winked once and vanished into Zenra's hand with the instruction that she was to use it as she felt she needed to. It was the last thing she did before she impacted with the ground.
