The sharp bite of the needle brought instant reaction, a defensive measure that didn't need to rely on energy, only on reflex. She rolled away (after the needle was removed) and her wings flickered into their bladed aspect. she curled into a ball most of her body protected by her wings, the only part that wasn't was the side she was laying on. The bed itself sported long slices where her wings had been resting before her reflexive action. No longer in contact with Raken she forced herself to some semblance of consciousness, not knowing that she was no longer near Crystin. Energy flowed and in her semi aware state she assumed it was from Raken and that they were under attack.
