The demon's essence within the fate-damned creature cooed, reaching out for its breatheren across the vast void of space.

It echoed through the nothingness, resonating off unseen walls. Ice crept up to the barrier and no further.

Wyrd approached the barrier, many meters off from the girl that wanted out. The ice outside the barrier retreated off from him, as though it feared him in some way.

Golden eyes were distant, as though seeing off toward the other side of the world, where acid and marrow combined to sludge, and ice become nothing more than blood.

Kiora, you held the key, and you sent it to the wrong gate....

A large black nose touched the barrier, a ripple sent out along it as though he had struck water. He pulled back, licking his nose of the sweet magic that held it up, keeping it from letting all within freeze to death, or become nothing more than statues of ice.

"Kiora sends her concerns for you, child. Her lord is not pleased with her..."
