"You brought a demoness home." Tyrsis turned, the words coming smoothly off of her tongue. Personally, she had no qualms with demons, Aurora had never seemed troubled by them. A place too close to heaven, she supposed.

Now she was being whimsical. Zenra's quiet message must have touched her more deeply than she had thought. A gentle smile crossed her face at the way the child cradled the demoness and layed her in the blankets and pillows.

"Wyrd, I have something I need to do. Will you please part the barrier for me. I shouldn't be gone more than a day at most. Tiani and her friend will need your help and protection in explaining things here, so I would ask you to stay. I have packed what I will need and am ready to leave once you have decided if you will let me go."

Some of us are born of flames, the spirit of soldiers buried deep within us. Others are the wicks destined to fuel those flames, born to support those called to war. The greatest of us are the wax that binds fire to fuel, judging the moment that both will be consumed and wink from existence... Never underestimate the candle, no matter how desperate the wind seems in embracing its fire.

Those of us who truly seek warmth understand that no candle remains unlit, nor does it ever truly fade in the eyes of those who have nourished it and been comforted by its warmth. New wicks are born. New flames are lit. New things are ready to take place.

I see it unfold and I smile, though first my tears must spark that flame.
