But the vampires disappeared. Not out of speed, no vampire could outrun this, but disappeared as a mirage would, some outward force whisking them away. Whether the force be good or evil, there was no telling at all.
Instead where they had been was a new face, a woman's face. A strange woman with cropped ashen blonde hair and flashing ruby eyes. With a smile her hand came up and grasped the blade of the boy wielding it. A foolish thing to do, as such a blade would easy maim any in its path. But it would as if the boy had hit a brick wall that had come out of no where.
TIme seemed to halt for a moment, leaving only these two, Kiasin and this strange woman in motion. Everything about them was dead, in silence and calm. Very eerie.
"Well well, if I didn't know better, I'd say this was quite a reunion. A lone fallen angel seeking to redeem himself through another, his dark nemesis nestling himself into his newest prize of a barely stable boy. Well, you did call after all. I...am the answer then, that you received, Kiasin." She spoke as if was a quaint drama playing out, and she had seen this all before.
She smiled and time halted even further, as if it dared not move lest something horrid happened and everything grew cooler.
"My name is Ra, and I am the second Avatar, though not in the way you might think."
